Thanksgiving in July!?!?

Wow, what an amazing Thanksgiving weekend. I can't believe the temperatures we had. Other than the early sunset, I would have sworn it was July. It started out 24c in Friday and finished 27c on Sunday. We only had a bit of rain Saturday later in the afternoon, and that was actually good as it watered the plants for us.

Thanksgiving at the cottage was great as Bonnie and I had Kadie and Paul visiting. Lot's of drinks and a few good meals later and it will be a Thanksgiving to remember.

I love the autumn leaf colours, especially if I can get a close up with my digit camera.

New Beach!

After some heavy rock moving, here's our new (little) beach! Rocks are heavy, but a lot easier to move if you roll them in water and time the waves moving back out. Note to self: don't take your work gloves off next time just because they are wet.

Sad day

In one of the saddest days of my life, we had to say goodbye to a family member. Sandals (Cheese Wiz) got sick and a few days latter he was out of pain and chasing mice in another life.

Bye bye sandals :-( We miss you already.

First sunset

Wow, what a great sunset, especially for our first weekend at our new cottage. Will every one look like this?
